Synopsis

What if Atlantis really was destroyed by Atlanteans experimenting with a Great Crystal more powerful that anything we could imagine? And what if, as Atlantis crumbled, the scientists, agonizing over their involvement, disassembled the Great Crystal, determined that such a disaster would never happen again--but, when they disassembled the Crystal into seven sections, each section refracted only one color of the spectrum.

The Atlanteans, open and friendly with their galactic neighbors, were offered assistance, by those neighbors, in transporting the Atlanteans to other parts of the world. The scientists, each taking a section of the Great crystal, left for seven different planets.

The heroine, a young woman named Mercy de Marco, is 'woken' from her dull shop-assistant-flat-in-the-suburbs-life, by her Spirit Guides and told that ten thousand years ago, as Atlantis collapsed around her, she vowed to make up for a terrible wrong done to the Earth. It is time she fulfilled her vow.

Initially she thinks she has gone mad.

Kaito, her main Spirit Guide, explains that each crystal section, even at one seventh of the Great Crystal, is still very powerful. Because each section refracts only one color of the spectrum they have caused an overdose of that color-energy on each world. Since each color represents certain lessons and impulses, the overdose has caused people to become entrapped in their attitudes, thinking and behavior. For these worlds to have a positive future, and step off the treadmill of limited awareness, the crystal sections must be removed.

Worse than that is the fate of Earth if the Great Crystal is not reassembled. Because the Great Crystal was a part of the Earth, its absence has caused an energy imbalance that will result in the eventual destruction of the Earth.

The mission is proposed: Mercy will travel to these other worlds and find the seven crystals. In the process she will observe the lessons these people have faced, the weaknesses they have been subjected to, the truths they have confused, and she will find her own truths and a new reality.

Between each journey she spends time with Kaito reviewing the lessons faced and how the crystal affected each world.

On the planet with the red refracting crystal live a warring, reactive peoples.

On the 'orange' world they have abundance but no belief in themselves, they have lost their drive, lost their way.

On the 'yellow' world they are a technological society putting science and progress above all else, in a relentless pursuit for satisfaction.

On the 'green' world they are close to nature, bound to it, and ritualistic in their tending of the planet. On this world Mercy finds love.

On the 'blue' world there are healers who have only a partial understanding of true healing. Since they heal only on the physical level the patients are bound to a cycle of sick-well-sick. The healers believe that the blue refracting crystal is the source of their healing power. Here Mercy must sow the seeds of truth so that when she removes the crystal they will still have hope.

On the 'indigo' world there are many monasteries and a great search for truth and for the Self within, but they have no understanding of what they're doing. Their naivete?places them in danger and Mercy battles to prevent an evil entity entering their world.

On the 'violet' world all seems perfect and they live in harmony with nature. This is a world of illusion and duality, and though they know about the crystal and know it must return to Earth, they do not want to give it up because of the high spiritual level it has granted them. Mercy finds the crystal and must battle to the death to keep it.

Through this novel we follow Mercy's spiritual evolution and understanding.

When the seven sections are all retrieved Mercy, accompanied by her Guides, presents them to the Masters (Ascended Masters who watch over the Earth).

Mercy is invited to become a Guardian of the Great Crystal, and when she meets some of the other Guardians she recognizes them from the Atlantean days--they knelt, praying, holding Atlantis together long enough for others to escape.

Everyone who reaches a high level of spiritual understanding will be invited to join the Guardianship until everyone incarnate upon the Earth is a Guardian of the Great Crystal.

The Great Crystal is reassembled and transforms, with a blinding flash, in front of all
the Guardians and the Masters. With the transformation comes a new era, an era of UNITY.

Excerpt

“Your thoughts,” began the ‘Dalai Lama’, “are very real things. Thoughts don’t just stay inside your head like many people think they do. A thought goes out into the universe. Thoughts can create and destroy. You send your thought out and we pick up that thought.”

(from Light of Unity)

Excerpt

“The crystal was of the Earth and its removal caused an imbalance in the Earth’s energy pattern. Since humankind are also of the Earth they too are affected by the imbalance, their spiritual progress has been affected. Imagine being stranded on a treadmill and you keep walking but you never get anywhere and you can’t get off. That is the treadmill, a treadmill of limited awareness, that humankind is trapped on and unless something is done Earth, and humankind, will die.”
