Idols and Misunderstanding
Many people look upon idolatry as evil, and the worshipping of false Gods. And whilst there may have been a time when that was true, we need to review that attitude today. Why? Because it causes a barrier between religions. What does a Christian think if I tell them I have a Quan Yin statue in my home? I have been told that it is a false God, idolatry, evil, and that I should get it out of my house. I actually have two Quan Yin statues, one Quan Yin copper picture, and a Buddha head, as well as pictures of Jesus. I have been told that this will lead to a war within my house. Confusion reigns because understanding is absent. Quan Yin exists. She lived upon this Earth. She was filled with compassion and she helped many many people. That is why she is revered. She is now known as the Goddess of Compassion. She exists still, as an Ascended Teacher. Buddha exists. He lived upon this Earth. He gained enlightenment and he taught many people, helping them to also achieve enlightenment and he left a legacy of teachings for his followers to spread. He exists still, as an Ascended Teacher. I could go on about all the idols and statues in the world, but that is not the purpose of this article. My purpose is to share why these statues are so beautiful. A statue of Quan Yin holds the vibration of Quan Yin. A statue of Buddha holds the vibration of Buddha. A picture of Jesus hold the vibration of Jesus. Their imprint is definitely and firmly upon their likenesses. I do not just have a statue of Quan Yin on my desk why I write, I have the vibration of Quan Yin on my desk. And on the wall beside me I have the vibration of Jesus and also of Krishna. I work amidst these loving, compassionate vibrations. When you see a religious statue, don’t just assume it is bad, take the time to find out about who it represents, and what they brought to the world. There is a reason they are revered. Always remember that there is only ONE GOD/I AM, but there are many roads by which you may reach GOD/I AM. Do not deny the existence of another road merely because it is not the one you travel on.
