Where
does hope lie?
Where does hope lie?
It lies in the acceptance that our reactions to
other people and other situations are of our own choosing.
It lies in our ability to stop blaming other people for our problems.
It lies in our ability to forgive and to move forward.
It lies in our ability, and willingness, to help another person.
It lies in our ability to say ‘I will no longer choose to be angry.’
It lies in our ability to say ‘I will live in peace with myself and
others.’
It lies in our ability to say ‘I will support you in your dreams.’
It lies in our ability to say ‘You can achieve anything you set your
mind to.’
It lies in the moments when we watch our children sleeping.
It lies in the moments when we watch another person laughing.
It lies in our dreams.
It lies in our passions.
It lies in a caress, in a kiss, in a touch.
It lies in our talents and our skills.
It lies in our commitment to make this world a better place through
being a better person.
Hope lies in every thought, every word, every deed.
Hope lies in my hands, and in yours.
